Default I'll pay you for an ATV ride in Billerica

Hey guys.

I'm shooting a music video in Billerica, MA. The location is only accessible by an ATV trail. I need transport for myself, one other person, and about 150 pounds of equipment. If you live near Billerica and know the trails there pretty well then shoot me an email at:

moclov555 at mac dot com

I'm hoping to do this this weekend but I'm flexible. You will pick me up at around noon, drop me off at the location, and pick me up in 3-4 hours. The actual driving part shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes each way. Let me know what you would like to be paid.

Hope to hear from you!

there are no legal atv trails in billerica- who's paying the $250 fine and impound fees when the DEM police show up?

I live in the area but, as Beergut said, there aren't any legal trails in Billerica to ride. Unless you are on private property with the landowners permission you shouldn't be there. I don't personally think $200 fines and possible confiscation of your quads is worth the price. And, if caught when loading or unloading in an area like that, I wouldn't be surprised if the guy doing the trailerring gets fined also. Just some food for thought.

I used to drive all the trails around the Billerica, Chelmsford area that were open without No Trespassing signs in my cars and 4x4 pickup. It was fun while it lasted but those trails are now closed because people started dumping trash that they didn't want to dispose of properly. If you go on trails in Billerica you will be breaking the law and I personally don't think it's worth the risk.

and to add to what moose said- with the new mass atv laws- even if it's on private land, the atv would still need to be reg'd in mass, and the atv rider would need to have written permission on him (not sitting on his kitchen table). So if any law showed up for any reason, the person assisting you with their atv could get screwed.

I got a $250 citation for riding on my neighbors property, and I had permission- but not on me.

I wasn't aware of the laws about ATVs in Billerica. Thanks for letting me know.

I walked to the location just last weekend and saw at least 5 ATVs go by so I know that some people ARE already taking the risk. I was just hoping that someone might be willing to gamble on this one.

I understand and commend those who have decided it was too big of a risk, but as an artist, I have found that sometimes I must break some rules in order to get the shot I need. If you feel like taking a risk let me know, otherwise I'm sorry to have wasted your time.

Well gee, if it's in the name of art, break all the laws you want.

So, what are you guys gonna occupy after this?

right- cause you could give two @#$%* how bad atv'ers in this state are looked upon.

well...

1- as a responsible father of 2 children that depend on him, and- not looking to shell out $$ for fines and lose work appearing in court.

2- as a responsible atv rider who cares how the sport is viewed by others- and understands how setting good examples to younger riders is
imperative to the sport of atv'ing.

3- as a responsible rider- one that understands EVERY OTHER RIDER who breaks the mass atv laws is the reason for the dismal, high restrictive laws and negative outlook on atv riders in this state.

.... I'd have to recommend you seek your "artistic law breaking endeavors" on another web site, because no mass rider on this site is going to risk losing his $5k - $10k atv so you can "spread" your silly artistic wings.

It's one of those, "two wrongs don't make it right", scenarios. I highly doubt that Billerica is the only place you could spread your artistic wings. If you're looking for sandpits there are some nice legal ones in the Hopkinton/Everett riding area in NH.

Just out of curiousity, where in Billerica are you talking about?

I'm sorry to have offended anyone. It was not my intention. The way I see it is that people ARE ALREADY riding here, so why not let them earn a few bucks by giving me a ride on their way. These riders will still be giving ATVers a bad rep whether or not they help me out.

Therefore, my offer still stands.

I don't want to disclose the location publicly.

Thank you for your time and this is the last you will hear from me on this site.
