Oh...Sorry Ty, I have to drive to the big "D" to trim some trees, and haul off a bunch of stuff at my mom's place.

Can't ride.

GUYS
I CAN NOT MOVE TO OKLAHOMA FOR TWO REASONS
1. My wife will not let me
2. Texas might not let me back in.

On another note, about the meeting....
Have you thought about having in on Saturday morning, THEN take off and ride all day. Purcell would be neat, Perkins, Antlers. I would even go to Seminole. It does not mater to us, but would be a good opportunity to meet you guys.
Let us know.
Gordon

Howdy! I don't know where to begin, so I will try to start by saying thanks for having me. I am another of the new members from Seminole. I will do my best to make it to the next meeting.
Also, a little bit about me:
I am married, have 2 curtain climbers (2 boys, 3 & 6) and like to ride as a family. My 6 year old has an Extreme 50, My wife has a Kodiak, and I ride the Grizzly. My wife don't have the same fever about it that I do, but the kids make up for it. She has gone with me to Little Sahara, Eufala, Prague (many times) and the river.

Once again, thanks for having me here. Feel free to E-mail me Jasonandmissyb@aol.com or you can always call me on my cell phone at (405) 584-0921.

Purcell is between 1 hour and 1 1/2 hours from Seminole. It is located West of Asher and South of Norman.

I would be willing to go to Purcell for a meeting, since I've never riden there. One question, though: How high is the water since yesterday's flooding. I like to ride rivers, but don't like to ride gas tank high rivers.

Just let me know,

Jason

Seminole Riders,

It looks like the best route for you all to take is to go south to Hiway 39, West to Konawa, to Wanette, To Lexington. Once you cross the bridge at Lexington you are in Purcell. They are basically the same town seperated only by the river.

Based upon the input here on the forum, it looks like Purcell is acceptable to the Seminole riders and all of the tenured members are happy with Purcell, so it looks like the place will remain the same. The only item left to be settled now is the date. Is Saturday, August 21 good for everyone? We usually have the meeting on the last Saturday of the month and that is close enough for me.

So if no one has any objections, I propose we have the meeting on Saturday, August 21 at 6:30 PM in the Purcell/Lexington area. We can meet on the river. There is a great meeting place on the river that is accessible either via 4 wheeler or truck (For those who are not going to ride that day). IN THE EVENT THAT THE RIVER IS HIGH AND NO ONE WANTS TO RIDE, WE CAN HAVE THE MEETING AT OUR TRADITIONAL BACK UP LOCATION, The Broken Spoke Restaurant in Lexington. It is just a few hundered yards from the river and we have had many successful meetings there.

The Broken Spoke is on Hiway 39 where it runs right thru the center of Lexington. In Lexington Hiway 39 is called "Broadway". I will post more detailed driving directions as the meeting date nears. Thank you

Brink and Johnny Reb,

Glad to have you all aboard. I look forward to riding with you guys (and gals) in the near future. Keep posting here and checking the forum as this is the PRIMARY means of communication for the group. Once again thank you for your input and I hope to see you all soon.

Purcell on August 21 at 6:30 PM would be fine with me, that is if I can find where it is at. LOL So is that when and where it is going to for sure be? Keep me posted on whats happening or if any of the plans change. I am going to plan around the meeting so I should be able to make it.

Saturday August 21 is not going to be good for some people.

I have had input and August 21 is a scheduling conflict for some. Are there any other alternate dates that would be acceptable? Does anyone have a problem with August 28? This falls in line with our "Last saturday of the Month" schedule we try to adhere to?

Johnny Reb,

Purcell is on the S. Canadian River south of Norman and west of Wanette/Asher. It is located in McClain County. Lexington is just across the river and is located in Cleveland County. Hiway 39 runs out of Konowa to Asher to Wanette to Lexington/Purcell area. If you go south out of Seminole you should reach hiway 39 and be able to take it to Konawa. Simply stay on 39 Westbound until you cross the river. You can also go to www.mapquest.com and obtain detailed driving directions from your exact address.

So again, to reiterate, it looks as though Saturday the 21 of August presents a scheduling conflict for some. Shall we try for Saturday the 28th?
