Charlie,
Good to see you back, How was Colorado? We were supposed to go next Month but I wrecked my truck and that took all my money (and time off work) so I won't be making it to Colorado anytime in the near future. But anyway, glad to see you back. If you still have your club directory you might look up Ronnie and Raymond. I think they frequent Little Sahara more than most of the others in the club. I heard Sandfest gets pretty crowded...so that lets me out..hehehehe. I hope you can make the meeting on 8/28/2004. We would like to see ya again.

I went to sand fest last year. In a few short sentences, let me sum it all up.
1. If you like rag races, this is the time and place. There are more soupe up Banshees than you can shake a stick at.
2. If you are needing a hotel room, book now if it's not too late (as you know, Waynoka doesn't exactly have what we call an overabundance of suites available).
3. If you like to see some cool crashes and the neat sandrail ambulance, this is your weeekend.
4. If you like young, half naked women flashing their hoo ha's, then this is also a good time to head northwest. It kind of reminded me of spring break at South Padre. The best place to see these exhibitions is around the parking area's.
Last month, the road to the North entrance is cabled off, thus cutting the parking along that road almost in half.
Overall, it was a bit crowded, but I had a very good time. That being my first Sandfest, I naively wanted to take my young 'ens and spousal unit with me, but was outvoted by the love of my life and had to consequently go with friends and have fun.
Once again, I look forward to Saturday.

Sorry, me again.
In case you have trouble reading some of my posts, The "D" key only works on my keyboard when it feels like it.
Just in case you are thinking "what the hel! did he say?"

Charlie,
My wife and I went on vacation to Beuna Vista last summer and had a BLAST! Although we didn't do any ATVing (we tried, but every rental place in town was totally out of ATVs for the whole week), we still had a great time.
Our main goal was to go white water rafting, which we did, and it was FANTASTIC!! It was our first time and we took the ride down the "Guantlett". The Guantlett has many Class III and Class IV rapids and even has one Class IV. It was a great time and we're looking forward to going back, but this time, we'll reserve the ATVs beforehand.
Since we couldn't get any ATVs to ride, we decided to drive up into the mountians in our 2-wheel drive truck. I tell ya, we took that puppy into some places that some 4-wheelers would be hesitant to go. Even drove to the top of one mountain to explore and old mine. We passed a 4-wheel drive jeep on the way up whose occupants elected to stop and "walk" the rest of the way up. HA!! If I'm on vacation I ain't walkin' unless I WANT to walk - otherwise referred to as hiking.
Anyway, I could go on-and-on about Buena Vista. It was a great place to vacation and I agree that everyone should visit there at least once.
