EVENT ACTIVITY DESCRIPTIONS
GEO CACHING..............................
Geo caching is an entertaining adventure game for GPS users. Participating in a cache hunt is a good way to take advantage of the wonderful features and capability of a GPS unit while on the trails. The basic idea is Hatfield-McCoy staff will set up caches in and around the Pinnacle Creek Trail System and share the locations of these caches with event participants. GPS users can then use the location coordinates to find the caches. Once found, a cache may provide the visitor with a wide variety of rewards. All the visitor is asked to do is if they get something they should try to leave something for the cache and sign the guest book inside the cache container. Each day will have a theme. Friday, Sept. 2 is keychain day and Saturday, Sept. 3 is pen or pencil day. If you wish to participate please bring your related item that pertaining to your riding club, state or something in your state. For example, if you were from Nevada, you might bring a key chain in the shape of Nevada or a keychain from a casino or state park located in NV. Saturday, Sept 3 will be pen and pencil day. Please bring along a pen or pencil representing your state or something in your state to place in the cache box.

Then visit the Victorian village of Bramwell, home to the coal barons for a tour including a peek inside a few of the coal barons' mansions.
