anybody know of any tires that are good for hard surfaces. I ride alot of asphalt and some gravel. Occasionally I hit a trail or two but no mud. The main concern is wear. I have had Holeshots but they wear out quickly.

I think the best tires for hard surface that has good traction for some trails are dick cepek spider trac. they are a great tire. mine lasted 6 months and i ride everyday on nothing but pavement.

try those chen shin tractor grip type tires
they look ugly
cheap
close *****....sit well on hard surfaces
hard wearing...apparently they use a harder compound of rubber

not a good front tire though....sledge in the mud (they are a square tire)....if most of you riding is hard surface that is ok though

farmers in my area use them lots...
