perfomance loss
#2
I went and got itp mudlite tires and the delta series rims. excellent tires from the thirty miles I rode. However, I got a prarie 650 and went from 25'' stock 2 ply tires to the 27" 6 ply, and my ride has gone to hell. I like the tires , but should have got the 25 s instead , as I really dont look for deep mud anyways.
So... I think I might sell what I got for a loss and buy the 25 mudlites for ride quality as the stock 2 ply may run flat on me

Before you give up on the tires, what is your air pressure ??? you can get by with less air in a 6 ply tire... also if unsprung weight is really your ride problem, ditch the steel wheels... I can't believe it ( do the still make steel wheels ) ...LOL for ride quality & performace gains, it is amazing how much the steel ( boat anchors ) weigh you down... on my wifes 300 Prairie, I took off the stock steel wheels, & replaced them with the stock wheels ( aluminum ) off my 650 Prairie, she took 2 first places in the mid size class in mud bog races last year ( the 300 Prairie is not generally known as being a power house ) the mudlights are not my favorite tire, but any 6 ply tire will take a little getting used to over the stock ( inner tubes with treads ), Dunlops... Have A GREAT Day, Go Four Wheel'in !!!!! WAM

I think I might try to swap my mudlites on to the stock aluminum wheels....thats a good idea. I rode around again today and found if I keep it in 2 wheel drive its not so bad. Not like before though. I do like the ground clearance I got and am pretty confident coming up to a mudhole now ....thanks for the idea
