blackwaters vs mudlites
#1
I have a 2002 Kodiak 400 with blackwaters 26x8x12 front and rear 26x12x12, they now have almost NO tread left.
I am a very aggressive fast trail rider and in the winter, I do deep snow riding and a few times a winter 4x4 hill climbs in deep snow.
I would like to know witch tire would have more grab in snow but would still be a very good trail tire, I do allot of trail riding and I want a tire with a good tread life.
With the 26 in tires, I found that my Kodiak has very slow acceleration, when I bought the ATV from the show room the blackwaters were on it so I ended up buying them.
If I would go down to a 25 in tire would I nodes an increase in acceleration?
If you think, another type or brand of tire would more suit my needs pleas say so.

You will gain a little more acceleration with 25" tires, a little less weight.
The mudlite will grab more than the blackwaters. If you haven't looked at the bearclaws, that would be one of my first choices. They are good in the snow and very good on hardpack.
Just my opinion,
