Default ITP Radial ATR

has anyone tried these tires? I just bought a 450 Kodiak and was looking to up grade the tires. I am looking at these and the mudlights. I mostly ride trails with a fair amount of rocks and mud. One thing about the ATR's is that they say they are a bit shorter than most aftermarket tires so they will handle better......so how much ground clearence would I be giving up? I thought about going a size bigger but they only make one size for front and one for the back. Any info would be greatly appricated!

I have the ATR's on the Ranchers, on ITP Magnum 12X7" rims. I love them!! On those rims, it makes the bike considerably wider, for better stability. They really improve the ride of the bikes. They have stood up to terrible rocks without even a scratch. Rocks that would shred some other tires!! We don't have serious mud here in the southwest, so I can't comment on that.

Has anyone seen the Carlisle Badland XTR radials. My buddy just got a 04 Sportsman 500 yesterday. It has these tires on it. They look more agressive that the ATRs and the rears looked wider too. They look like they are at least as tall as my stock Dunflops. Any experience with them yet he has only ridden for like 20 minutes in an old gravel pit and didn't push it at all. Brand new bike hasn't been broke in but he said he thought they rode great and they climbed the hills he tried real well. I am really interested because they look like they would do better in mud than the ATR but have a nice flat profile for handling still. Just wondering how they compare to the ATRs. I would really like to try radials for the handling but I ride a lot of snow in winter and some mud during winter and spring. Also I don't want to pay $100.00 a peice for the Radial Outlaws. Wish someone else made a 26 or 27 inch Radial.

That is interesting, because I am not quiet sure what the business relationship between Carlisle and ITP is. As I recall, in the back of my mind I thought maybe Carlisle owns ITP??????????? Seems like I got some Holeshots once that had a Carlisle sticker on them. Or, ITP just has tires manufactured at Carlisle. It could be the same casing with a different tread pattern?????????

If this is the same casing that is in the ATr I will be really interested because people are pretty happy with the ride and handling of the ATRs so with a more aggressive tread they should be just what I'm looking for. Sporty handling good ride and aggressive traction.
