hey momma go with the mud lites i just put a set on my 2003 400-i and they are great, feels like a different bike .went last weekend and tried them out deep mud holes my 400-i pulled out of the mud holes a kaw.650 prairie 4 times a kod.450 one time and almost a 660 grizzly they got on the racks and got it out. but the artic cat 400-i went threw them with no problems the tires really help if i had the stock tires on you know DUNLOPS(sick puppies) i believe i would have had trouble.

The 589s are more agressive but they are rougher riding on hard surfaces. The MudLites are lighter and ride better. I would go with the MudLites unless you do ALOT of mudding and very little trail riding.

I would go with the MudLites.

Here's another vote for the Mudlites. I was just about to order 589s when the Mudlite was released. It was cheaper and I really liked the idea of the reduced weight. They perform awesome, I ride with a guy who has 589s, he can't do anything I can't. I can't say anything bad about the 589s, because I've seen them do some major churnin' and climbin', but the Mudlites seem a little more advanced. And did I mention they were cheaper? As long as you go with the XT, not the AT. If you can't go with an XT I wouldnt bother, the AT isnt any better looking than a lot of stockers.
I'm also pretty impressed with the look of the new Bighorns, but I havent heard how well they work. I wish I needed new tires, cause I would try them.
