I have a '96 300 2x4 utility Honda. I want to replace the stock rear tires with something more aggressive. The current size is 25x11x9. I don't want anything taller or wider, just something that will pull me up rocky hills and thru mild mud holes. I would like a more squared off look type tire, the factory ones look like ballons to me. You guys have any recomendations?

Try the Kenda Bear Claw! They come in a 25x12.5x9 The are a good all around tire that wears well and have a tough casing resistant to punctures. I have 2000+ miles on mine and still look good. They are only slightly wider than your stock tires and will not have any clearance problems and will fit your stock rims. I think you can get them around 65-70 bucks each!
