RAZR OR RAZR 2 What is the diffrence? which is better all around?

The price difference is probably comparing a 4 ply Razr to a 6 ply Razr2 - 6 ply has more puncture resistance but is a lil heavier. For MX, get Razr - for anything else, get Razr2.

yeah, razr2s are ment for serious hookup. if you worry bout wheel spin then this is what you get. but if you like to have a little spin like taking sharp turns and such, go with razr, but with any of them, i would go with razr2s in the front no mattar what

ya I heard that the raz2's hook up way to well and don't give you much slide in the turns...which can make for a ruff ride...If your doing just trail riding then they wouldn't be a bad idea..but bartlett racing is right...alot of people are doing the combos...The R2's in the front and the R's in the back..depends on what type of riding your doing..good luck with the tire choice....I was going to get the R2's for my scrammy for the rear but I'm going with the 4 ply Realtors...

????
I've raced and run on both for a good long while now. I've also run various flavors of holeshots.
If you want a tire with tons of sidebite that doesn't want to slide, Holeshots are your ticket. If you ride anywhere it's wet, stay away from the XCRs though..
RAZR vs RAZR2 -
I have no idea where this info about RAZR2's not sliding is coming from. When compared to a Holeshot, they slide extremely well. When compared to a RAZR, they do have a bit more sidebite - but in my opinion, the original RAZR needed a little additional sidebite.
The RAZR2 has a very aggressive look to it & maybe that's why people assume it has too much sidebite??
RAZR2's have great forward traction, good puncture resistance, almost perfect sidebite (in my opinion), and have long life (much longer than a standard RAZR). Right now, they are my tire of choice. The only bad thing I can think of about them is their weight - but that's always a tradeoff - if they were lighter, they wouldn't have the pucture resistance they have....
So, it depends on your preferences and needs. If you want a great tire, are not worried about a little additional unsprung weight, and want good puncture resistance & tread life - go with the 2. Some people's riding style works better with Holeshots. Some still yet prefer the loose feel of original RAZRs..

I forgot to mention anything about the front tires....
RAZRs - good all around front tire. Tend to push a little as they wear, but all in all a good wearing, puncture resistant tire.
RAZR2 - Awesome hookup - almost too much. If you run a lot of toe-in for stability with other tires, these will not want to turn & you'll find yourself worn out at the races. All in all, they seem to wear well and offer decent puncture resistance. Just watch your toe settings because these tires are serious about their grip.
