Is there a better mud tire for the 400ex? I would like to keep the rims I have for now but get a tire that can get thru the mud better.

You can try a bearclaw they are pretty light for a mud tire and the also do good on trails

i recomend bear claws, my cousin had them on his Honda 300 4x4, they went up all the muddy hills, and through creeks with ease. One problem I saw was that they didn't clean out well at low speeds.
