I'm thinking of getting Bear Claws for my 300EX. I know the slow down the bottom end a bit but i want to know if it is really noticable.

In my opinion, I'd say changing tire size +/- 1 inch is about the same as changing the front sprocket by 1 tooth. You may see anywhere between 2-5 mph difference at top end.

Taller tire = less low end torque and increases top speed

Shorter tire = more low end torque and decreases top speed

I have 22 inch bearclaws on the rear of my Warrior and i have not noticed a difference in bottom end. In fact with the extra traction it feels as though the bottom end has increased. I love the performance of these tires on ugly terrain. They helped turn my Warrior into the best all round quad you can buy bar none. I would highly recommend these tires for your EX.
