Default Time for strut replacement?

Well my quad is leaning to one side and it seems the strut is bottoming out on very minor bumps. I assume its the strut. Could the spring be worn out? Are the struts normally changed in pairs?

Anybody have any experience changing these? It does not look too difficult, the only thing I don't have is the tool to compress the spring. Could likely borrow that from somewhere.

Yes struts that freeze can do this. All polaris I ride with hit this every winter and they have to rebuild/replace em. Do it in pairs and the new ones will last longer... not manditory thou. On the 500 I think it's quite a task to switch.
