I,m ready to buy new tires and wheels now,I'd like mudbugs but having a hard time making up my mind on 26" or 27",also what is the very best wheel to go with.I ride a 450es mostly ridge roads and trails with occational deep mud holes and alot of stream crossings.Do you have a number for highlifter.Thanks ---All replies sure would be appreciated.

Thanks Maxout,would the extra height with offset wheels still be stable on steep inclines and twisty trails,and would I need to install a power kit.

Just ordered them from Highlifter,27" mudbugs on ITP aluminum billet wheels,but there not offset,may have to add spacers latter????

 

no those will work they just spablize it alittle

and add some traction

I don't think you will lose any stability unless you lift it. I can't see where I have lost any stability with my 27" claws. I didn't fool with lifting it either. I may in the future, but I've heard too many problems that can come about by doing that.

 

I have 26" bugs on my 450....12" wide in the back and 10" wide on the front..... it is TONS more stabil in offcamber situations than it was stock. My only regret about getting the 26" Bugs is that I didn't get 27"..... I am very very happy with them they have wore great. As far as the lift decreasing the stability.. I am sure it does to a point but not that I have really noticed... I do alot of off camber riding.... (I didn't need the lift to fit the tires..just got it for more ground clearence)

Thanks for the info FORMANes,I got the 27" and itp magnum billet wheels and there on,they look awesome and steer's alot better.Hope to really put them to the test this weekend.Ride Safe
