Default thinking of selling my ds650, whats it worth?

it's a 2000, Big Gun full exhaust, K&N w/Outerwear, Renthals, 22" rear Fast Trekkers on 10" wheels, 22x8 front tires, kill switch, extra set of rear tires/wheels (20" on stock wheels), extra set of front tires/wheel (21x7 on stocks). nerf bars, WB grab bar. it runs real strong and is extremely fast but it puffs a little smoke sometimes. the dealer told me it needs valve guide seals. whats it worth?? thanks

I'd say $3500 - $4000. Mine is in that range and I have not sold it yet.

ya what ODP said, as a idea you might want to sell the extras to us...LOL or ebay put her as close to stock as possiable. extras are nice but dont bring the value up much. You prob, get more out of the parts if sold sepratly. JMO

I'd like to try and sell it whole before I part it out. but I might return it to stock then I let you guys have first shot at the aftermarket stuff before I e-bay it.

like I said it runs great and has tons of power, but it does smoke a bit and I think that will turn people off from wanting to buy it

You would be much better parting it out ( the aftermarket stuff) that way you could sell the Ds cheaper, if the buyer gets it cheap enough, they can use the savings to get the valves done. It all depends how much your time is worth to you to switch everything over.

I am going to try and sell my 703 with lots of extras like dual carbs and MSD ignition for 5K.

Mario says he knows a couple of guys that are interested so I haven't offically put it up for sale yet, but will soon if I don't hear from them.

used DS are always up and down (on ebay that is anyway) ive been watching 90% of the ds' that go through ebay, and ive seen a few that were worth 5k easy sell for 2500 (no reserve auctions ) and then ive seen a few BONE STOCK 2000's that looked pretty bad, sell for 4500-5500!

im hoping if i get mine back down to stock ican get at least 4k out of it. (or 4500 with everything on it)

dondiesel, if your ds looks clean i think that helps sales a lot. i think im going to make a small video of my ds where i start it up and let it idle for a few seconds so people can see and hear it in real life. (like the seller of that busa ds on ebay like 5 months ago)
