Is this too much for trail riding? Jumping about 6 feet of air. Just aggressive Recerational riding.

I don't want to spend 800 on something i really don't need

Actually, Works should ask you various questions and tell you what will best suit your needs. I wanted a new set for my Tecate, they asked my weight, type of riding I do, and what mods were done to the bike.

I eneded up getting tri-rate shocks (adaptable to cans later) they ended out being awesome!

I have the same setup you're asking about on one of my Mojaves and I ride mostly on trails. You will think it is the best money you ever spent if you like to ride hard and jump. Just a word of caution - If you just order them from a dealer or mail order place you will get something of the shelf not setup just for you. It will probably lower your quad some and if you ride where there are rocks, ruts, big roots and such you will miss the ground clearance. If you call Works and order them straight from them they will ask all the right questions before they build your shocks. You would want something more like a cross country setup for trail riding. Just tell them exactly how you ride on what terrain.

Just got my Dual Rates w/o res. for my 91 250x in today. Ordered from Graydon Proline, took 4 weeks to get because they said that had to get them from Works setup to my weight, and riding style. I think these things are going to be awesome!!1
