Question about tire slime
#2
Hi I have used fix a flat before and then used plugs. In fact the fix a flat actually helped secure the plug. With the slime I think as long as you reamed the hole really well the plug would hold no problem. I have not tried this but I do not see why it would not work.

That dealer wants to sell you a new tire! A plug or plugs will hold with sealant in the tire.Dont recomend "fix-a-flat" but Slime or its equivalant are great things.

We plugged a tire YESTERDAY with a Progressive Suspension kit. It had slime gurgling out of the hole. No problem!
Personally, I prefer fix-a-flat to slime. Hey, the Slime was gurgling out of the (small) hole. What does that tell you? I don't think the stuff works all that well.

I use slime
I use plugs
Slime takes care of the small punctures and the bead seat,,,,,,the plugs take care of the bigger stuff.
Never had a problem using both together.
