Default tire selection

I have a 95 Polaris 400 4x2. I'm looking for suggestions on a good rear tire. I spend most of my time on the trals, mixed with hill climbing (shale, dirt, clay). Stock back tires were 24x11x10. Any suggestions? How about going down to a 22" tire? The selection is a bit limited in the 24.

Thanks

Rob

you should be able to tell I've been in the catologs...LOL... look at Duro HF243 ( 24" X 11" X 10" ), Titan 489XT's ( 24" X 11.5" X 10" ), ITP Mud Lites ( 24" X 11" X 10" ), Kenda Dirt Dogs ( 24" X 11" X 10" ), Cheng Shin C828 ( 24" X 11" X 10" ), GBC Mud Busters (24" X 11" X 10" ), GBC Dirt Devils ( 24" X 11" X 10" )... there are more, but that should keep you busy for a while...LOL...

If you don't do much mud riding, & the loss of ground clearance ( & possibly top end speed ), isn't a problem, you could also look at any of the smaller O.D. 10" tires...

Thanks alot.

BTW, has anyone had any experience with shredders? I found a set of 22's for 25 bucks. It's hard to pass up a deal like that if they are decent tires.

The Schredders have changed thier tires, every year, so there are alot of different ones out there... I have a set of 22" X 11" X 9" ( 4 ply's ), mounted to a set of 9" X 9" V Force Baja's, that I use for Hare Scramble racing... the ones I have, almost get too much traction ( you notice a "push" in the corners, from the traction & the posi rear axel... but over all, I like them alot... thats a good deal, I'd buy them...
