I am looking for the most aggressive 22 or 23" tire available (9" rim), so far I have it narrowed down to the Suretrak or Blackwater.. The crazy ones like Mudbugs, Outlaws, Gators, Claws, I don't think will ever come smaller than 25", is there any others that you know of?

Thanks,
Rod 86 250R

There are also the Super Swamper TSL's, Kenda Bear Claws, and the McCreary TrailBreakers. All come in 22" sizes

I have a 2000 warrior and I got a set of Kenda Bearclaws. WOW . They are very good tires. I have been through so much with them and they really help when climbing. My friends have holeshots and stock tires on thier warriors and there is no comparison.

Hey I never knew Super swampers came on 22", theres an idea. I also just found out, according to cawoodtire.com, that the Mud Machine comes in 22" as well.. so I might go with whichever of those 2 are lighter (probably TSL), but those Suretraks are still in the back of my mind.

Mat, your Bear claws climb better than Holeshots? in soft stuff or hard pack?

There is also the gbc mud sharks. They have 21". I think that the blackwaters, surtraks, or mudsharks you be the best for a 250r.
My friend had surtraks on his lt250r they were good but they are kinda soft and wore out faster than a normal tire.

I have Blackwaters on my Warrior.
They are awesome for the mud and for climbing... I ride with other warriors and Banshees which get stuck all the time.
But the tires are so rock hard, even with zero air pressure that in dry conditions and over hard surfaces like roots, the warrior bounces all over the place.
I also have noticed a serious drop in top speed after adding these tires. I assume it is from the tread, increased weight, and increased width (12.50's)
But they are made of a hard rubber and are hardly worn after 6 months (with lots of pavement riding)

oh, if you are thinking about using them for snow...Forget it. I had mine out this spring and the tires would just dig into snow drifts getting me stuck, while the stockers rode right by me.

Just My 2 Cents.

For a 2WD utility quad, you might want to look at the Sur Traks. For a sport quad, look at the Bandits from Sure sports. They have a deeper lug than holeshots & razors.

I am getting a set of Bandits 20 inch for my kids quad, whenever they get off back order from Rocky mountian.

I like to think of Bandits as being a cross between sport and utility tires. Since Recons are a cross between sport and utility quads, Bandits were a no brainer for me.

surtracks do a good job in the mud and hardpack but don't have as much tread depth as mudrunners,589s,vampes etc., one word of caution, the surtracks are shorter than advertised.
