22" mud tires?
#11
I put 22 inch Realtor pure sports on my Warrior and geared it down one tooth in the front. I can go places 4x4's can't go. Their good in mud, snow, dunes, and hard pack. Almost sold my machine before I tried these tires.

Most of the other replies were very informative, however I thought you may appreciate this info. I actually have 250R with sur traks. I love them. they will crawl up anything, and are decent hard pack. And you can laugh at your knobby tired friends in the mud. Get them you wont be disappointed. Dave

Yamaha350war With your "22 inch tires and "4.9 inches of ground clearance and no tug in the front(differential)how can you possibly go places a 4x4 cant???? I own both sport and utility 4x4 and thers only two places my sport can go that my horse cant.first is 5 to 10ft in the air, 2nd in tall dune climbs but as for everything else snow, mud, rockclimbing, mountain climbing, theres no way. Anyway not calling you a liar just wondering if you ever rode a 4x4 before ,take it easy!

the realtors are a great tire for the mud. and as far as going places the 4x4s can't i belive it. wiht a sport quad you can use power and manuvarability to get through things that will stop a 4x4. I race in the woods and i have seen 4x4s realy realy stuck and watch a sport quad with 20" holeshots go right by them.

I must clarify, with my horsepower and speed advantage I have made it through stuff that gets a big heavy 4x4 stuck. However I must also clarify I ride with all R's Banshees and 400ex's and a zilla. My 4x4 riding is nill. And there is some places I avoid rather than go through. I have often thought about getting a 4x4 to play on. I just cant seem to want to get off my R for long enough to need both. : ) Dave

Just a reply to comparing 4x4's with 2x4's in the mud and snow. I have the Warrior and my Cousin has the Wolverine. We ride really aggressively all year round here in Wyoming. Yes 4x4's can go alot of places and get stuck really bad (when they do). For pure fun riding and speed my Warrior goes more places, Maybe it's because I gun the hell out of it and just go. It all comes down to the confidence and experience of the rider (just my opinion) oh... and the Realtor tires helped a hell of alot.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I don't know about a Warrior but I have seen a CT350R with 25" rear surtracks and 25" front tires definitely go where Formans and Grizzlies with 26" tires could not. And at the local mud drags (16" of wet but heavy goop) a modified Scrambler 400 4x4 with 25" Bearclaws was the fastest guy but he had something break so a Banshee with 26" vampires took 1st, but the Banshee had stock (22"?) front tires, with bigger ones it might have been a close race. I used 20" paddle tires with my 21" front tires and I only made it 1/4 of the way through, so being light and fast can't really make up for the lack of ground clearance. I'd like to see the CT350R and that Scrambler have a mud drag, it would be close. Especially if we were allowed to stand on our grab bars, which we wern't.
