I lifted the front of my 02 700 with a home made kit. I took 2 hockey pucks and cut them in half. I then used my bandsaw to cut out each side so they will fit around the strut base. Take out the strut( two bolts on the side of the strut carrier) and slide the strut assembly out. Put a 1 inch spacer down into the strut carrier ( I used a hardwood piece of dowel as there is little to no pressure after the strut pinch bolts are tightened). Dissassemble the strut and put the 2 pieces of 1 puck underneath the spring between the strut and the spring. Then put a hose clamp around the two pieces of hockey puck to keep them together. That's it.
On a side note. Don't go too high. It is very tempting to put 2 pucks in, but don't. That is simply too much lift. If you want, go down to your local auto parts store and buy some coil spring boosters. They look like rubber blocks with grooves cut out of them. insert them between the coils of the springs. All together I got about 2 inches of lift, which is perfect, it takes away that sagging front. Good luck.

Yeah, I am useing both. The boosters really only stiffen the front end. It sounds funny, but it really works. The installation can be a pain, especially putting the strut assembly back into the upper tower. I would recommend lock tite on the strut top, as my has loosened once. Also be careful of the CV joint, you can easily pull it apart and putting it back together is just annoying. Also check your front alignment, mine was way off after the lift. Put the boosters in last, but before you replace the tire. good luck.

Best way to lift a Sportsman 700 is with a 10 ton hydraulic jack! Sorry, I couldn't resist!

Do you want your sportsman to sit taller or do you want the room for larger tires up front? If it is just a tire issue, you may want to consider having some custom A-arms built that will move the wheel centerline forward an inch or so. Going this route wont increase the c-v joint angles but will keep larger tires from bashing into the rear of the wheelwell. Just about any fab shop could make a set up for you.

four4fish,
did you do the lift? I'm curious how the new tires fit, thinking of doing the same. Check out gorilla-axle.com for a huge 700.
