How about these utility tires?
#1
I'm in an on-going process to figure out which tires I'm going to purchase for my Foreman. The tire will be either 26's or 27's. (probably 26's) I have been considering the ITP 589 and the Goodyear Mudrunner. I am now trying to consider other brands. So now I'm wondering if anyone has owned the Dirt Devil X/T? I will be using it mainly on hardpack with a little mud, rock and snow mixed in.
1. How did the DD X/T perform in different conditions?
2. Did it wear well? How long did they last?
3. Is it made of a softer or harder rubber compared to others?
I am also curious if anyone has owned the Mud Shark. It has an unusual tread pattern.
1,2,3, questions from above but about the Mud Shark.
I like the idea that the Devil X/T and shark have a deep tread depth even compared to tires like the 589 and Mudlite. Dirt Devil X/T 26's- 39/32, Mud Shark 27's- 39/32, 589's 26's- 36/32, Mudrunner 26's- 26/32 front and 32/32 back. BTW the stock Foreman 25 tires have a depth of 17/32 front and 19/32 back.
I DON'T like that ITP has raised their prices so much. This is the main reason I am considering other tire types. The Dirt Devil X/T looks similar to the Mudlite but has a deeper tread depth (on paper) and cost less. How does it perform and wear? Thanks.

Unless they changed the Mudrunners, the tread depth you are quoting is for the 25"... the 26" & 27" have deeper tread ( around 1.25" ??? )... The Mud Sharks look like an interesting tire, however that is a horrible tread design for the front tires ( for steering & handling )... The DD XT's look like a tire that would work well for you in the types of terrain you are riding in.... Also, the Mud Lites switch to a deeper tread on the larger tires, similar in depth to the DD XT's... I believe in 26" & over

I'd have to add Bearclaws to that list, they're one tough tire. If you get the bigger ones 26"+, the lugs are bigger and give a lot more bite. They wear like iron. I have them, and love them. I got the 27" ones, and couldn't be happier.

I wanted the Goodyear link to take you right to the specs but it won't. http:www.goodyearatv.com/catalog/mudrunnersize.html is the address.
