Default power sliding mud tires.

I am looking for a tire like mud bugs, dirt devil xt or 589 ms. I trail ride alot with quite a bit of mud. My favarite thing to do is to blow around a sweeping corner and through the back end out in a power slide, my stock dunflops are great for that but they suck a$$ in the mud. Im looking for an agressive tire that dosent bite really hard side ways. Any ideas let me know. thanks.

Are you riding on a trail system? I heard some places down in the states it is illegal to have such aggressive tires. Any input on this, anybody? I thought I read it in one of the wheeler mags.

I have the MudLites and they do what you are asking but I am problems with chunks of the tread coming off. Not sure if was do to the frozen river riding I was doing though. Bear Claws do what you are asking as well. AlaskaBoy.

My father has MudLites on his Rincon and he can powerslide it easily. They also go excellent in the mud however do do ride ROUGH.

If it where my machine I would go with some Holeshot ATRs their mud/snow capability is quite amazing for a sport type tire.

the absolute best tire for this would be Pure Sports Realtors, the reason they stand alone, is because the same lug runs fully sideways across the tire... this gives great forward traction, but very little side traction ( like a straight sand paddle ) ... but any tire with the lugs running mostly sideways will work good... Interco TSL's, Chene Shin Jackals, Kenda Dirt Dogs, ITP Black Waters etc.... these tires will allow good forward traction, & limited sideways traction... tires like Kenda Bear Claws, Spider Traks, Maxxis Sure Traks, Interco Vampires, etc. fall into the next group, offering a little less forward traction, & a little more sideways traction... IMO, the TSL's are perfect, as they allow just enough sideways traction, to be able to "throw" it into a corner a little, without losing control...

i truely belive that the 589s are the best mudders, i have 26ers and do just as good as a sportsman with 28" mudzillas, the 589s dont weigh much and ride decent, and slide with the best of them , will get a video of me sliding on my vinson for your enjoyment .

VINSON... you'll find tons of people to dispute that 589's are "the" best mud tire... ( me included, & since I'm an undefeated open class mud racer with over 20 different ATV tires to choose from, you'd think my opinion would be at least be noteworthy )... although I'll admit they fall into the top 10... I didn't think that SUZUKI was looking for "the" best mud tire, but one that would slide sideways well...

newbeatle i do value your opinion, and by judgeing by your pictures i can see that you know what you are doing. for me in the same situation as you i have never gotten stuck, i run 26" 589's with a dgl locker and even when my bikes racks are under mud i manage to worm my way out in some shape or form.

VINSON... sorry, I didn't mean to pick on you... just that there have been hugely long threads devoted to "the" best mud tire... & rarely are any of the tires listed in this thread mentioned...However IMO, both the Vamps & the 589's are definately worth mentioning as great mud tires...
