Replacing cv boots
#2
It's not too hard to do. the only special tool is the boot clamp pliers. I made mine out of large needlenose pliers by grinding little hooks in the tips. The procedure is easy. Pull the inner boot off at the big end and pull it down to expose the cv joint. Inside the gearbox hub there is a large internal snap ring that keeps the joint from falling off. remove it and the axle assembly will slide right out. The rest is pretty evident. Try a search under google for polaris cv boot replacement, I found a step by step a while back. Good luck.
