Default New Tires for Twin Peaks 700

I'm looking for a great new tire for my new Twin Peaks. I cannot believe why they continue to put such usless tires on these machines from the factory. I ride over varied terrain that is about equal hard pack, mud and snow. Looking for a tire that is lightweight (don't want to spoil the awesome performance of this thing) and smooth riding. Good traciton in the mud and snow is important but not the most important factor. Was really impressed with the Gators I had on the machine I traded in except for the ride was quite harsh. I am looking to stay close to stock size and from what I have been reading many of the 26" 6-ply tires are actually very close in size to the original equipped 25"ers. Open to most any comment from anyone who has a favorite tire.

Sounds like one of the new radials are right up your alley... look at the Carlysle Bad Lands radials ( the 11" wide rears are awesome ), or the Maxxis radial Big Horns ( great all around tire, but the heaviest of these tires, but also the best looking ), or the ITP ATR's

Consider the 26" mudlites............Very smooth and great handling with a light weight. An awesome all around tire, but not great in really bad mud. I love the all around trail rock and hill climbing ability of mine.
