from what I've heard they are one of the best all around tires on the market should hook up well everywhere.

I have them on two bikes but I went with the 26" version for the increased tread depth. While iI dont play in mud too much ( im getting older) they work great on everything else. I was really suprissed how well they rode on hard pack stuff, realy smooth with very little vibration into the handle bars. A great all around tire.

They are my favorite general purpose tire so far. They are tough, they grip well but not as well as, say, ITP 589’s (this is actually a good thing because it allows easy powers sliding when needed, however they grip enough to get the job done). I too have the 26” size which gives you higher tread lugs than what the smaller sizes provide. For the 400, you may find that these bigger lugs may be less desirable (if you want to spin them, i.e. for power sliding). I would suggest using the smaller (25”) dirt devils for general purpose / trail riding use. If you do a lot of mud riding then you may want to consider a larger size (or acquire a second set of tires / wheels that are designed specifically for that purpose)…
