Default Dumb question about brakes

Ok I'm probably making an idiot of myself but after drum brake shoes get water/mud on them can they be re-used. I can't find anything about it online and i dont really have anybody else to ask. I think they would be fine after being cleaned and dried but If i'm wrong somebody please tell me.

Default Dumb question about brakes

Flush off the mud, etc. with clean water (no soap), let them dry, and put 'em back together. Should be fine. Welcome to the Forums !!

Default Dumb question about brakes

Welcome Red02, Just like chilly said, rinse them off and let them dry. If you ride in muddy conditions all the time, it could get mighty expensive changing brake pads all the time. If your riding and get them muddy or wet, just tap the brakes a couple times to clean them off.
