Default shocks and a-arms?

if I have Elka shocks set for 220 lb rider and factory a-arms on a raptor, and upgrade to new a-arms +2....do I need to do anything to the setup of the shocks

revalve, respring, etc...

or will the shocks still work great with new +2 a-arms even tho I ordered them for stock a-arms?

you dont have to set up you shocks if u dont want to, but because of the extra leverage of the longer a-arms your shocks will get worked harder. if it was me, i would re-valve them and just set your spring firmer

moldycheese is right, its smart to revalve the shocks so their comfortable w/ the extra length, but, if u get longtravel you'll have to get new shocks

I talked to elka about the same thing a few weeks ago and depending on how old they are you dont have to revalve but you do need different springs for the extra leverage
if you dont if will heat up the shocks faster and hurt the valves
