Default How to stud my ATV tires?

I want to stud my z400 stock tires that i dont need for this winter but i dont know wat to use. I was thinkin of gettin some screws and putting 1 or 2 per lug. Does anybody have any suggestions on some screws or something that work good and isnt too expensive. I plan on riding on the lake here most fo the time.
thanks

If you are going to buy atv studs get them from magicracing.com. They are 65 bucks for 1000 and are the cheapest anywhere.

You may only want 3/8 inch studs if you are out of rubber on your tires. Too long of a stud and you will put a hole in the tire with each screw. You can run up to 1 inch studs in some tires.

As far as install, you can just drill them right in. Make sure you get them all the way in or they will just get ripped out.

Dont buy sheetmetal screws. They will not have nearly as much traction and they will also be much harder to remove becuase they round out. The fact that they arent hardened will mean that many of them will break the heads off and you will have the threads still in your tire.

defanatly dont use sheet metal screws there to soft and fly out easier. when you put them in inflate you tires up to about 25psi put the screws in then deflate the to regular psi
