The XCTs use the same compound as the other Holeshot tire line. From my experience with the XCs I would have to say the XCTs would be awesome also. The tire size should be great for the trail (lil' xtra ground clearance) and the fact that they hook up great on hard pack, rocks, and aren't that bad of a mud tire ( they clean themselves off well for being a "performance" tire) should do well for your application. They are durable with the 6ply, but the soft compound rubber does wear rather quickly. I keep buyin' em though. One final note: The XCs and the XCTs worked together on the 400EX in last years Baja 1000 with victorious results.

I just installed the xct holeshots all the way around on my ex and I could't be happyer. The taller ground clearence is excelent on the rocky trails and stream crossings. They are about one and a half inches wider than my stock Ohsa's,And grab and throw alot more material out of the holeshot. My god the mud gets thrown every where. As far as sliding sideways, It's seems just as easy to throw the *** end out then cut the front wheels lock up and be on your way

As for the fronts (23 inch) they stear like your on rails and don't fold over like the four ply Ohsa,s in steep hard turns. At four psi all the way around, The suspenshion feels tight and nimble. And will go where you point it.

As with any soft compound tire compound you will sacrifice tire for traction. So performance has it's price.

I do think I will drop a tooth on the front sproket to give me more bottem end thow.
