Default Ice set-up

I want to get some studded ice tires for this winter. I am looking for some suggestions, on tire size, brand, number of studs, etc... Thanks for your help

Default Ice set-up

18 or 20 inch for the rear and 21 for the front. If you can afford it buy the ice racing tires, the side walls and **** are stiffer. If you get these tires you will need about 12 to 1400 screws and use the longest you can without going all the way through. Properly studded the traction is as good as pavement.

You may want a lowering kit as well they do help a lot. A poor mans lowering kit is to compress the the suspension with ratchet straps. Don't forget to tie up the loose ends and loosen the pre-load on the springs.

Hope this helps! I found ice racing to be a lot more fun than I expected.
