I'm new to this 4x4 ride but am really starting to like it. Been a two wheeler 36yrs but knees are giving me trouble. Anyway we have some land in fl. sand, mud bogs and hard wood hamocks that I've bush hoged miles of trailes thru. The problem is the bogs and crossing logs etc. If i get 27in. tires do i need a lift kit for fender clearance or is that for better performance in the mud? I have no desire to play in the stuff only to get thur it. What brand? Would like to have something that rides good on hard pack also as we have property in Tenn. Steep terrain, rocks and miles of dirt roads in the area. Thanks for any advise you old timers can give

If you want mud performance, go with the 27 inch vampires. If you want an all terrain tire based more for mud, go with bear claws or blackwaters. Of the 2 I would go with bear claws. I personally have the vamps and they are a rougher ride than stock tires but it is well worth the loss in ride smoothness for the added traction in mud and log climbing.I had no trouble riding over a log that was about as high as my handlebars the other day. I just gave it gas and the vamps pulled me over. Good luck with your decision.
