Default 27s on a Rubi

I am wanting to get some tires and wheels for my rubi. I am wanting to get probly the 589s or mudlites in a 27 if they will fit without rubbing or too much power loss. If I go with the 589s they will be either 26-9-12 front and 26-11-12 rear the 27s are the same width also. I was wondering if nyone had any ideas. Also heard could tell better ground clearence with the 27s. zgoing to be mostly trail riding with rocks and some mud maybe more if i know i can go. thanks

I agree,26s is the way to go.A buddy of mine had 26" mud bugs on his rubicon and it robbed alot of power from it,he went to 26" mud lites and it is a little better. He also likes the handling better now.
