Make sure you use a tape measure in your picture.

frankd,

You put a lift ki on it then. The only difference between mine and yours is that I put the spacers between the shock and the A-arm.

Can you explain how you got the springs off the shocks and what you used to as spacers?

I was test fitting the lift kit on my 500 and I found out that only way to lift it was to compress the shocks because the A-arm don't alow you to go any farther down. This is because the shocks are so soft.

on the top of the spring is a washer with a slot cut in it compress the spring and slide the washer out,the rear springs are easier and can be done by hand, the fronts are stiffer and can be taken apart by hand but i had to use a log splitter to compress the spring to put it together(it was all i had to do the job).when you take the spring off there is a plastic spacer, flat washer, and an aluminum washer i used pipe that i had around for spacers put the pipe between the aluminum washer and flat washer.i did 2 quads in about an hour.

i didnt measure it but i believe it would be around 1 1/2 i.d. you probably could just put the plastic spacer between the two washers
