What is an easy steering kit for a griz 600 and how does it work

I was reading a post and someone mentioned an easy steering kit for a grizzly and I was wondreing how it works and do they make them for other ATV's.

I think they were talking about a easy-steer front end locker. Meaning a locker that makes all 4 wheels pull when in 4wd, but it's not as hard to steer as previous lockers, but it's still probaly harder than stock.

Depending on what tires you have and what pressure you run them, you can make steering easier/worse.

I spoke to someone this weekend who supposedly spoke to a rep at ATV Locker and found that the differential lock for the Grizzly is still the same as it always has been. The easy steer kit is an addition to the package and works with various pulleys, etc. It was described as being similar to a compound bow. Once you pull back the string (or turn the handlebars) and get to certain point it gets easier to pull (or steer). If you understand how a compound bow works, this analogy should make more sense. The total package including the differential lock is supposed to be $342 and should be available in Jan. 2000. The guy I spoke to plans to buy it as soon as it comes out, so I'll let you know when I get a chance to try it.
