Saranwrap and zip ties for torn CV boot??
#1
outboard right rear CV boot is torn, think it would work to take 10/12 wraps with the saranwrap and a couple zip ties to secure it for a days riding without destroying the CV joint??

its not worth to blow out a hundred dollar joint just to go ride for a day.....get a boot kit tommorow and put it in....unless you wanna risk destroying the joint and dropping quite a few extra bucks down on something that could be easily avoided

Here's the problem with that. I won't have the money for the kit until the end of the month. And, I got so far as the remove the wheel and looked at my grizz and the big @$$ nut holding the hub on the shaft is crimped into the shaft. I tried, and can't get it off. So, I will be forced to pay the dealer the $125.00 to do it. My manual says there is supposed to be a carter pin in there, it's not there, they crimped it at the factory.

You might try stopping by a tire shop or garage and see if you can slip them a few buck or brews to hit it with the air impact wrench. It would be a lot cheaper that $125 bucks to loosen a nut! If you need any pointers PM me.
