Default Tires for Rubicon, Rancher At

Hello. I dont have one of these fourwheelers YET, but im checking tires out. I am thinking about mudlites, mudzillas, or 589 m/s tires. If i stay with the stock rims, what is the biggest i can put on? I dont want to put any spacers on or any lifts or tho. What would be a good sized tire for both of these forewheelers. I dont run in alot of mud just normal usage on farm and riding around playing once in a while. Any info and help would be appreciated. Thanks

I run 26x10x12 mudbugs all around on ITP wheels. I love them.

If you don't do most of your riding in mud, don't go with Mudzillas. They are designed as a aggressive, heavy mud tire and don't have that great of a ride. Consider trying the stock Dirt Hooks that either machine comes with. They do really well for a stock tire. If you still want a new tire, I would look at the Outlaw MST, Dirt Devil, Super Swamper, or maybe the MudLite. Stick with a 25" or 26".

I would not go above 27's with the Rancher. My brother has an 05 Rancher 400 with 27 inch 589's and they are to big and heavy for it. He can only get to about 37 mph on the road and it bogs down in mudholes, also keeps breaking tie rods.
