Default Shock interchanging

Well after looking at my financial situation and planning I think I am just going to build myself a quad from scratch. I am going to go with a 250r, 400ex, or blaster frame and motor and then make it almost a complete mut from there. I want to get an idea of what i need for the suspension set up and what will fit on what. I am doing all of this on a budget so I think i'll try and use used shocks from ebay off yfz or something of that nature.

Building from scratch is MORE expensive than finding a used bike in rough shape and fixing it up. What you do for suspension is going to depend on the bike you use for a frame. Shocks from one type of bike wont work on all others.
