Titan 589 picture???
#11
Let's rejuvenate this topic. I'm also interested in the Titan 589's. Anybody have a decent picture of them? Anyone have them installed and what do you think? How aggressive are they compared to Vampires, Tri-Claws, Mud Bugs, etc?

I live near Quincy, Illinois, home of Titan's Headquarters. I'm currently talking with a friend who works there in their engineering department to get more information and a better picture of the 589. When I do I'll figure out a way to post it, or otherwise get it to you. According to Rocky Mountain ATV's ad in Dirt Wheels they do come in 26" in limited widths.

I found them for sale in the march 2000 issue of dirtwheels. The 26" don't come in the 10" wheel I'm trying to fit. Looks like I'm stuck with the 25x12x10 for the rear if I put them on my stock aluminum wheels.
The front's a toss up between the 12x8x12's or the 12x10x12's. I'm not sure if it would be possible to wedge a 10" wide tire on my stock 12x6" wheel. I hope the 12x8's are actually 8" wide, not 7" like my dunflop's (25x8x12) wich actually measure 24x7x12.
Any suggestions?
p.s. the September 99' issue of ATV magazine did a mud tire shootout and the 589's won it. They where only 25" but could go anywhere the 27" tires where going. They also got excellent trail ratings.
"We couldn't believe the pure mudding performance of the Titan 589 tires. In fact, we often stopped to look over the fenders and make sure we where really on 25" tires."- sounds good to me!
