question about turning front tires around
#1
i have a modified 99 banshee and i turned the front tires around to get a wider stance and help the cornering, my question is has anyone had any problems with anything breaking because of it and i also just put new work shocks on the front too. and i race it and i trail ride with it too. or will i have to start replaceing spindles or anything

Since I've flipped the rims over on my 400cc Wicked Warrior, I've gone through 1 tie rod and two ball-joints from bending them after hitting say a log or rock. Never a spindle though. The offset rim does provide greater leverage against the wheel bearings, spindle, and steering components.
Dual rates and steering dampner up front help control the offset rims with 23" XCT's, and the handling advantage to the +4" wider stance IS worth the extra components now and then.
