Suspension for 86 250R
#3
I had my rear revalved by tcs and have no complantes. I also ordered a set of front shocks. They are the best deal around right know as far as performance v.s. price. I ride an 86 250r on mx tracks and every jump is nice and soft. contact CT Racing for TCS shocks.

I ordered the front TCS shocks as well. They arent here yet, but from what everyone says they are the way to go!
I got mine for $750, they are zero preload and adjustable compression. The PEP zero preload are 850 or more. Works does make a ZPS shock, but its 589 and not adjustable at all.
I would go with works if you dont need adjustment and arent racing hard, TCS if you do and are. If you plan to race MX, you might consider extended A-arms as well.

I am currently running Ohlins suspension on my 86' 250R. I couldn't be happier with the fit, and finish as well as performance. They haven't bottomed yet, and they have withstood some pretty serious hits. I would highly reccomend them. If $$ is an issue you more than likely wouldn't want them. To get the fully adjustables like i have, you will have to give about $850. I agree with the last post. If you are gonna race MX i would get some wider A-Arms. Laegers make the best quality arms i have heard. I couldn't be happier with mine. I recently polished mine and they look identical to chrome. They really make the bike look better.
