Default what tires

im looking for a good mud tire but a tire thats also very good on hard packed trails as i ride heavily on both! Ive narrowed it down to a few, but what between these are going to wear the best, ride best, mud the best, and so forth! its between the 25 inch mudbugs or the interco swamp lites???? ps im looking for the tire that will keep my stock performance too! i have an 05 honda rancher es 350! thanks

My wife runs the mud bugs in 26" and I think they are a good choice for an all around tire. I would always say bugs or gators ,but in 25" it would be 100% bugs. Gators have a smaller lug in 25".

The Honda Rancher comes equiped with 24" tires. I only mention this since you mentioned you wanted to keep the stock performance. I've heard nothing but positive things about the Swamp lites, Also the ITP Mud lite XL tires.

i know they are stock with 24" but ive been told by other rancher owners with 25" mud tires that there is no power loss! therefore with the 25" i will gain more ground clearance for the trail and the mud! After seeing these swamp lites Im pretty much sold on them....anyone have feedback on the swamp lites??? and Jd3020, for the power perhaps if there is a small loss, i will be adding the supertrapp pipe!

I'll either get the swamp lites or the mud lites. I'm not going to worry about the power loss until after I see what the machine is like with bigger tires (I'll be getting new wheels too). I'm going with 26" when the time comes. I want the extra ground clearance and I like the looks. I can't imagine much power loss, 1st gear seems a bit too low to me anyway

If you keep the air pressure low they ride nice. Air them up to 15lbs they grow about 2 inches but they ride fairly ruff. Wife likes them soft. No jokes here please. She can hang with my buddies that run 27" mudlites in the mud all day. The bugs are showing very little wear. Mudlites wear fast, they are slightly better on the trail. Bugs are better in the mud. I am not a fan of mudlites but those that have them seem to like them.
