Default Wolvy 350 tires?

Well I finally decided to get rid of my stock tires (Dunlops.... worst tires ever!). I went into the local ATV shop not really knowing what I was looking for, and was recomended at the shop to get Mud Lites. However, the only size that will fit on my oddball size stock rim are the 25's (I have 23's on there now). Wolverines don't have the greatest low-end power, so I was wondering if moving to 25's would be a mistake. They are only 3 pounds heaver a tire than my stock tires, but would the greater circumference of the tire affect much?

Imho, the two inches would make a definite difference. Is the bike stock? If so, then I'd stay away from them. Also are there clearance issues w/ a 25" and a wolvy? Can he not order you a more appropriate size? Alternatively, you could always order a few hop-ups w/ the tires like an external or internal engine upgrade. And when it comes to unsprung weight and rotational mass every pound counts. Especially if you're a speed freak.

Titan makes 23" tires in the AT and XT (6ply) if you want to stay in your stock size. Others on the forums have gone to a 24" in Beartrackers or other brands that don't run much over stock. Just because a tire says 25" doesn't mean it is exactly 2" bigger,my Maxxis Surtracs are a bit wider than my stockers, but only about an inch bigger in height. You are correct to be concerned on size and weight, as the Wolverine is geared more for speed, and not low down grunt, but with a pipe, filter and jetting, slightly bigger tires won't be much of a problem, and with my minor mods, and aluminum wheels, I don't even notice the bigger tires on my Wolverine.
