Default Bearclaws or Gators

ok i have finally narrowed it down to the the two tires i'd like ok it's between the Kenda Bearclaws and The GBC Gators, i know they are different kind of tires but if you had to chose what would you chose, which one wears the best, and i do riding on hardpack trails to get to the mud to ride in make sense? i know the claws wear like iron but i'd like the treads of the gators for mud, and the cleaning out sense so thanks for the help. oh yeah i'll be putting them on the back of my AC 250 2x4 i'll be getting 25x10-12s right now i have 24x9-12s

thanks guys i've been searcing for tires for a while now so now you guys can help me make my final decision.

Muddin250,
I cannot speak for the bearclaws but I can tell you that I have Gators on both mine and my wifes quads and we love them. My wife has well over 2000 miles on hers with showing very minimal wear. I only have about 500 miles on mine and they still look new besides the normal mud stains that dont wash off. We do a lot of hard packed trail riding as well as the occational mud holes. We have been to Wayhutta several times if you are familier with that in NC.
For myself I have been so pleased with the overall performance that I would have the need or desire to change to something else. The Gators have really stood up to our challenges and have really made me a believer.

Hope this helps, see you on the trails in NC someday,
Mud

If mud is your priority, I'd go with the Gators. If your're looking for an excellent all-terrain/trail tire with the occasional romp in the mud, I'd get the Bearclaws. Both tires have their strengths, it all depends on where your priorities are. I wanted an all-terrain tire (not much into mud) so I went with the Claws. Very, very happy with them, I'll definitely get another set when the time comes.

Muddin250,
I run 3-psi in the back and 6-psi in the front. That combination works well with my riding. You might want to experiment a little for your particular likes.

Madmuddin, So you like the Bearclaws alot? I have a 05 BruteForce 650, not the 750 so it is just like the 700 Praire. I am in the market for tires and have been mainly looking at the ITP Mudlite XTR and the ITP Holeshot ATR radials. The down side is their price. I have found anywhere from about $85 to $110 each. I hate the stock Dunlops. I ride alot of hardpack, forest service roads, some rocky terrian, Highway raods some, and very little mud. I like the mudlite look , looks like a 4x4 atv tire whereas the holeshot just doesn't look like it fits on a 4x4 ATV. Anyway I want something that goes good at high speed also because there are lots of times that we go over 50mph, and tons of stuff we go 35-40 on also. How do the Bearclaws rides on pavement? I noticed with the stock tires that it feels like the tires roll ALOT when turning corners on anything that has traction. I hate that. Also do you buy local or online for your tires?
Thanks Alot
Mark

MadMuddin, I forgot to ask, what Bearclaws do you have. I see on Kenda's site they have 2 different bearclaw tires.
