Pure Sports Bandit?
#3
I've run Bandit xc's for a couple of years on my Warrior. I ride mainly XC & fast tech. trails in the winter & woods in the summer. They hook up better than anything I've ever used on most any type of terrain with the possible exceptions of deep mud or deep sand. They are a true 4 ply tire..not "4 ply rated". Altho I haven't tried the current new tread pattern on the rears (I can't seem to wear out my present ones), they are claimed to have even better traction & clean-out than the older design.
I woud definitely go with the XC rather than the AT. For $5 difference you get a Kevlar liner bead to bead, makin for an exceedingly stiff sidewall and virtually no rollover in corners.
I'd think you would find them very good for hare scrambles, and the rears now come in 22" for extra ground clearance.

Thanks for the info..especially on the wear, that was my biggest concern. Maybe I've been a good enough boy this year that Santa will leave me a pair under the tree....mounted on shiny new rims of course.
