Without a doubt, ITP589's are the best tire out there IMO.

Alright 589's NOT best trail/mud tire...yes they kick *** in the mud but not so great on the trail...XTR's if im not mistaken are radials given them good smooth ride and the lugs give them good mud performance...As for your gators they do great in the mud but with the larger lugs they are not as smooth as the XTR's...so my opinion owuld be for best mix would be the XTR's but if your more of a mudder than trail rider then your gators are the way to go for ya...

Swamplites are the number one seller for all terrain use. Perfect for mud, snow, rough terrain, and hardpack. But Gators, 589s, ect...... are all great tires, it just depends on were you like to ride.

The swamplites do look like an awesome tire. I would take them over mudlites any day. I still like the Gator, Mudbug pattern though. It's a little wider between the lugs and they slide awesome. I have read the Outlaw MST's are better yet, but I've always wanted the mudbugs because they are so light and great in the mud.

there are enough utility radial designs out now that I'd never go back to a bias ply (unless I was broke or just putting tires on to up the resale), no matter what I wanted to ride (mud, trail, etc). There's a reason they aren't using bias ply tires on cars (or much of anything) anymore.

I won't even look at radials unless I was strictly riding trails. Highlifter made the radial outlaws for a short period of time. They were just way too heavy being a radial mud tire.
