Default THE BEST EBS SYSTEM

THIS WEEK I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO RIDE A NEW BRUTE 750 AND A NEW GRIZZLY 660. THE GRIZZLY EBS SYSTEM WAS VERY PASSIVE AND COMFORTABLE TO CONTROL. THE BF FELT LIKE IT WAS SLAMMING THE BRAKES ON EVERY TIME I LET OFF THE GAS. I'M BUYING A NEW MACHINE SOON AND WANTED SOME OPINIONS ON EBS SYSTEMS, PARTICULARLY THE KING QUAD AND SPORTSMAN. HOW HARSH ARE THESE EBS SYSTEMS? ALSO, DOES POLARIS EBS HOLD ALL 4 WHEELS WHEN DECENDING STEEP SLOPES?

Polaris EBS is not well liked, atleast it wasnt recently. Yamaha, and AC have a very well liked system. I believe BF, IMO is a decent system also

i own a polaris 05 sportsman 400,i loved the down experence,it is a true 4x4,all 4 lock.now for the bad part.i was getting pretty radical on it,was in 4 hi,going threw some woop's,got the backend over the front end, pulled it off and stopped.came home in 2 low,it don't like that at all.not alot of people understand polaris 4x4.good luck on your buy!personally,i would only buy polaris for my 4x4 quad.there a sweet ride, not a trixster bike,i was being stupid that day i broke mine. The Polaris Sportsmen models only had rear wheel engine braking until 2007. For 2007, if you buy the optional "Active Decent Control" then you will have front wheel engine braking. In my opinion the sportsmen models slow down too hard in very moderate down hills when rolling off gas and forces you to keep on the gas. The Yamaha has just the correct amount of engine braking IMO. The 700 King Quad had slightly less engine braking than Grizzly but because of its all wheel down hill engine braking just like Yamaha the King is better than Sportsmen. I have never ridden a Brute.
YOU DON'T NEED TO SCREAM.

I have an 07 Sportsman with ADC and it's great, the Polaris bikes with just EBS would skid the back tires in 4x4 going down slippery hills, very unnerving from what I hear, But I was going up and down some snowy pit walls in ADC and the wheels never locked or did anything scary. Now in 2x4 doing the same thing the rears would skid. Not hard to control, just touch the throttle and the wheels would regain traction.
The best advice I can give is to try all the machines you are looking at if you can and make your decision on what you like not what others like
