Does anyone have Holeshot XCT's on their quad?
I was just wanting some real world feedback on the holeshot xct tires. I was thinking about maybe buying a set for my scrambler if they did as good in mud as my titan 489's that I have now. I like my stock 489's because they are a good all around tire. I have read that the xct is supposed to do good in all types of terrain, but I know how mfg's claim stuff all the time that ain't completely true. I go through just about everything except sand. I climb steep hills, go through mud, run wideopen on flat loose dirt, drive through creeks....etc.

I ran them on my desert quads years ago. The idea of the XCT is to make the quad a little taller for some extra ground clearance. But in the end, I found that being a little taller made the quad a little tippier in fast corners, so I eventually went back to Holeshot XC's. The taller front tires also made the steering a little slower, which is great at high speed but not so great if you need agility when riding trails.
I keep experimenting with different tires (gets expensive!), but keep going back to the Holeshots! They do well in a variety of terrain, but I don't ride mud so I can't comment on that. They are absolutely indestructible!!!

I ended up putting the xct's on my 99 warrior that I just sold tonight. I had holeshot lookalikes on the rear that were 20x11x9 and the holeshot xct 22x11x9 felt just a tad bit lighter than the fake holeshots in the smaller size. I know the holeshot xct's 23x7x10 that I put on the front felt a ton lighter than the stock dunlops 22x7x10 that I replaced. It's funny because the bigger tires didn't even seem to slow down the warrior at all. I put them on yesterday and rode for a while and then rode it again today before I sold it and they felt great. I'm thinking about going ahead and getting another set for my scrambler now.
