front sprocket question

Default front sprocket question

me and a friend were argueing, i say the bigger the front sprocket the better top end, i hope i'm right, he says the smaller the sprocket the better the top end. So what is it really, i know its a stupid questio but thanks. Another how hard is it to put on a front sprocket, and polaris people is a wise choice to up a size on the scrambler? thanks

Default front sprocket question

It's simple Physics! Just have him ride a bicycle with a "triple" set of front sprockets. Have him run the small one, then the middle one, then the large one, while keeping the rear on the same gear. Should be an easy enough lesson.
